Osun: Lagos too important for DPP dreamers — APC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) of Lagos State has called the idea that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will win the state in the 2023 general elections a “ridiculous and daydreaming” idea. Party Publicity Secretary, Mr. Seye Oladejo, who said this in a statement yesterday in Lagos, explained that the victory of the PDP in the Osun gubernatorial elections on Saturday could not be repeated in Lagos. Oladejo said: “Our attention has been drawn to the naïve and childish response of Lagos State PDP Governor candidate Jide Adediran to the result of the Lagos State gubernatorial election. Oladejo added: “The governance of a model state like Lagos is too important to be left to a few dreamers, who have absolutely nothing to offer. “As the people of Lagos celebrate the historic and award-winning achievements of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in various sectors with emphasis on the THEMES mantra, your hope of winning the elections can only be a mirage. “It is certainly not natural for the civilized and cosmopolitan citizens of Lagos to be weary of the various advancements in development and the prospects of doing more in the years to come. "As we count down to the election, the debates between governors and deputy governors will be an interesting sight." According to him, while the incumbents “will blithely roll out monumental achievements in power, the opposition will play to their strength with the characteristic comedy of errors. “We urge Mr. Governor to remain fearless as he strives to complete the first term of his term strong,” the APC spokesperson said.
