Oyo will connect economic development zones

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reaffirmed his administration's commitment to linking all areas of the state to ensure sustained economic development.

Makinde, who has undertaken to receive the participants of the Strategic Management and Policy Studies, Course 5/22, Nigerian Army Resource Center, Abuja, said that the agencies of security were working with the government to make the state safe.

According to the Voice of Nigeria, the study group headed by Major General K.I Mukhtar, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Makinde at the Executive Council Chamber of the Governor's Office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.< /p>

Addressing course participants, the governor said his administration has made significant progress in its four-point service program, designed to boost the economy of Oyo State , namely education, health, economic expansion through agribusiness and security.

He said his administration had assembled a formidable security team, which he said worked together to keep the state safe, noting that his administration had made significant progress in the four main pillars.

Makinde said, "When it comes to our areas, we want them to be conducted strategically and the only way to do that is if we connect the areas together. When they are economically linked to the infrastructure, we also remain linked.

"We have managed to connect Ibadan, which is our main consumption center, to Oke-Ogun and other areas. We also connect Oyo to Oke Ogun Zone and it's almost done."
