Paddy Pimblett is moved by the death of a friend after his victory at UFC Fight Night

Paddy Pimblett

Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett gave a powerful speech on mental health after his big win at UFC Fight Night in London...revealing he found out on Friday that his friend had taken his own life.

Pimblett won an uphill battle against Jordan Leavitt via second-round submission...and after briefly celebrating the win, his demeanor quickly changed when talking to Michael Bisping in the post-fight interview.

“I woke up Friday morning at 4am with a message that a friend of mine back home had committed suicide,” Paddy said. "It's 5 hours before my weigh-in. So Ricky, this is for you."

"There's a stigma in this world that men can't talk," he added. "Listen, if you're a man and you have weight on your shoulders, and if you think the only way to solve the problem is to kill yourself, talk to someone. Talk to anyone."< /p>

"People would rather, I know I would rather have them cry on my shoulder than go to his funeral next week. The men are starting to talk."

Paddy - who was clearly overwhelmed with emotion - then collapsed on the canvas and burst into tears... finally allowing himself to mourn the loss of his friend.

Pimblett - who also dedicated his fight to 4-year-old Baby Lee Hodgson, who tragically died of cancer last month - was in tears as he left the arena...with the crowd cheering.< / p> Baby Lee Hodgson
