"We've never lost a presidential election in this state and I know we won't lose in 2023, but we have to work hard because votes count and I think the Cross River State will do better.

"We have come to let you know that we are with you every step of the way and there is no reason to be afraid, we will work with you to make sure we win all the elections in cross river state and regarding our nation Nigeria there is a huge challenge in this country the level of disunity and insecurity in this nation is something that should be of concern to all of us. the fact that the education system is under threat, and the fact that our children cannot even get a job because the industries are collapsing day by day, new ones are not coming in, this is not the Nigeria of our dreams ."

He further said, "I think as a party we need to quickly reclaim this nation and rebuild it so that we can stay the course again. We need to have a safe nation, revive the economy and bring the people together and that is what the presidential candidate has promised Nigerians and ours as a party to keep our promises.

"We may not be like other people who will want to say to people the very words they'll like to hear, but in their hearts they don't mean it. We've demonstrated that by 1999 to 2015 sadly Nigerians wanted to try a new hand and try a new party but they saw the difference so it is time for us to come back and rebuild and rebuild our economy again safe the country and us unite.

"A country where all components hope for a better future and hope that they will be reasonably included in the governance of the nation.

“Our presidential candidate also promised that he needs stronger sub-national governments, which is very important because we can't all keep going to Abuja with our caps in hand to beg for money. So he promised to delegate more powers to state and local government and to delegate more resources to states and local government. These will obviously have an impact on the development of our various states because all states can now compete favorably and develop at their own pace but at a competitive pace.

"And we know that education is at the forefront of the PDP's agenda and that the health sector and the development of human capital are elements to which we will pay very close attention. , because our children must have a paid job."

Also speaking, Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel said, "I just want to reiterate that you already know that since 1999 no other party has won the elections in Cross River State except PDP and I don't think 2023 will be any different. Please be assured of our support that Cross River PDP will stand firm.

"I don't know what other party would favor South-South more than the party where the South is at the center.

Cross River is the engine room of the Atiku-Okowa campaign organization.

"As Chairman of the Presidential Campaign Council of the Atiku-Okowa Campaign which is a movement, I stand here today to inaugurate the Youth and Women's Wing of the State Chapter of Cross River from this presidential campaign council.

"They interviewed me and I told them why I'm on this train because I found the ability, the sincerity, I found the love for people and I found this compassion.

In our Dakkada philosophy, we say that "Once the passion is good, nothing is impossible".

Governor Emmanuel further stated, "I found this opportunity for us to be able to restore the economy of this country within two years and we have the right people to do it. A once we restore the economy, many social vices will be minimized.

"People leave the substance and chase the shadow, we will go straight to the substance and then the shadow will disappear."
