Photo Essay: Bolanle Raheem: Police Commissioner Visits Victim's Family
Lagos Police Commissioner Abiodun Alabi paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Bolanle Raheem, a Lagos-based attorney, on Tuesday.
PREMIUM TIMES reported how Ms Raheem, who was pregnant, was shot and killed on Christmas Day by a police officer attached to Ajiwe Police Division in the Ajah area of the state.

The incident happened in the Ajah Under Bridge neighborhood of Lagos on Sunday.

Ms. Raheem's murder was not the first by police in the area, however.
Earlier in the month, a Gafaru Buraimoh was also shot by a yet to be identified officer from the same division.
Visit of condolencesThe police commissioner arrived at the Ajah residence of the deceased around 5:30 p.m.
He consoled the deceased family, including her husband and mother, while promising that the killer "will not go unpunished".

"The force is determined to make sure he pays dearly for what he has done," he said.

Earlier, a delegation from the Lagos government led by the state's Commissioner for Justice, Moyosore Onigbanjo, paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Bolanle Raheem.
