Former Immediate Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, met with new National Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Wike, who is now Minister Designate, was received by Ganduje at his residence in Abuja on Tuesday.
The ruling party, in a message on its official X-handle, said Wike's visit to the APC National President was to congratulate him on his election to the post.
It read: “Former Rivers State Governor and Designated Minister, HE. Nyesom Wike paid a congratulatory visit to the National President, HE. Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at his residence in Abuja."
Recall that Ganduje was elected national president of the party while Ajibola Basiru, former spokesman of the Senate, became national secretary of the APC about two weeks ago.
They were elected after the ousting of Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as president and secretary, respectively.
