Members of the Nigeria Labor Congress demonstrate in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, in solidarity with the University Academic Staff Union strike.

The protest is also an opportunity for the NLC to draw attention to other issues affecting the nation.

Dozens of protesters stormed the entrance to the Benue State government house, carrying placards with several inscriptions, to make their demands understood.
