Police arrest 84-year-old man for raping 8-year-old girl
Ogun Police have arrested an 84-year-old man, Stephen Jack, for allegedly having illegal sexual relations with an eight-year-old girl.
State police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi told Abeokuta on Saturday that the suspect resides in Okun Owa neighborhood in Ijebu-Ode and is "a well-known pedophile".
He added that Jack's latest escapade was reported to police by the victim's father who noticed his daughter was bleeding from her intimate area.
Mr. Oyeyemi said that during questioning, the victim told her father that Jack had sexually assaulted her.

State Police Commissioner Lanre Bankole also ordered that Jack be taken to the Criminal Investigations Department for further investigation and possible prosecution. (NAN)
