State Police Commissioner Muhammad Gumel disclosed this during a briefing to reporters in Kano.

Gumel said those involved caused a public disturbance during the inauguration of the Hasiya Bayero Children's Hospital near the Emir's palace on Sunday.

The demonstrators reportedly organized themselves in a disturbing way, chanting provocative slogans against the emir who was attending the event.

They chanted slogans, like "new governor, new emir", insisting that Governor Abba Yusuf should depose the emir and install a new one since it is a new government in power .

Gumel said police used technology to identify those involved, adding that more people would be found, including their sponsors.

He said, "These people were not invited to the event. They were intruders on their own, and they must have been sponsored by someone or a group of people.

"Six people have been identified. We have used technology to track them down. We are still analyzing the video footage and working to arrest everyone involved. We are also working to secure their sponsors.
