PSG: Neymar named biggest flop in football history
French football pundit Daniel Riolo has slammed Paris Saint-Germain striker Neymar, calling it the biggest flop in football history.
Neymar was in PSG's starting XI alongside Lionel Messi in the 1-0 loss to Rennes on Sunday.
Speaking after PSG's loss to Rennes, Riolo hit out at Neymar, insisting he had only performed well in the first half of the current season as he had to prepare for the Coupe du FIFA World 2022.
"He made fun of all the PSG fans by having a good half-season because he had a World Cup to prepare for.
"In terms of recruitment, transfer, salary, this is the biggest flop in the history of football," Riolo said on After Foot RMC.
Neymar had scored 15 goals and registered 12 assists before the 2022 World Cup break, but has only managed one assist since the restart.
