Queen Elizabeth: 'I put no food for my enemy's mouth' - Uju Anya to Piers Morgan

Nigerian-American teacher Uju Anya and British broadcaster Piers Morgan clashed on social media.

Anya had taken to her Twitter account last Thursday to describe the late queen as the “chief monarch of a genocidal, thief and rapist empire” and was later banned from the app.

Anya's comments about the late Queen Elizabeth II sparked reactions in different parts of the world.

The university where she teaches has distanced herself from her tweets.

Returning to Twitter after being locked out, Anya revealed that Morgan wanted an interview with her, but said she wouldn't grant it.

She said: "Piers Morgan called me a 'despicable and disgusting moron' while his producer called me for an interview. Tufiakwa," she tweeted.

Reacting to her tweet, Morgan wrote, "I really want to interview you. I would like you to try to repeat to my face that you hoped the queen would have died in 'excruciating pain'. But I suspect that , like most vile "woke" trolls, you won't have the guts."

But Anya wouldn't give up easily. She shot back again, “No, Piers, you want to interview me, because your career is dead in excruciating pain and you need the ratings. But I won't let you drive me away. Like I said, I don't put food for my enemy's mouth."
