Roy Keane tells Erik ten Hag 'you have to quit tonight' after Man Utd win cup

Roy Keane has joked that Erik ten Hag should quit after he was spotted dancing with some of his Manchester United players after their Carabao Cup win. The Red Devils won 2-0 against Newcastle, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford scoring the most important goals.

Ten Hag was asked to speak with Sky Sports after the win, and the Dutchman was forced to analyze his dance moves after he was spotted celebrating with Lisandro Martinez and Antony. Arm in arm, the trio bounced side to side amidst the celebrations, with famed badass Keane taking a dim view of the dance.

While Ten Hag watched the clip of himself dancing with his two players, who were draped in the flags of Brazil and Argentina, Keane jokingly added, "You should quit after this! Quit , tonight!"

Keane's comments made the other experts on the panel laugh and Ten Hag, who replied with "never" before adding, "We have a history together! We hope we can do it more often." And David Ginola stepped in to say, "That's just Roy Keane saying that!" And Ten Hag responded again saying, "I know!"

The former Ajax boss hopes United fans can see him and his players celebrating again this season. United still have a chance to win three more competitions, including the Premier League, in which they sit third, eight points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Despite his resignation joke, Keane was full of praise for the work Ten Hag has done so far this season and what he has already achieved after their win, saying, "When you look at the start of the season and the loss of their first two games, there was a lack of confidence in the team and the fans, but the players and the manager managed to get their hands on the trophy - brilliant. "Hopefully this is the start of their competition for titles and in the Champions League. The way he appears in the media, he seems like an honest guy and I think the players appreciate that. He said that there was work to be done and that he made big decisions at the club, with Maguire and Ronaldo, and he gets his reward because he is here to win trophies."

Ten Hag credited his side's unity for their League Cup success but insisted the focus at Old Trafford will turn to the next fixtures on Monday morning. His side face West Ham in the FA Cup on Wednesday night and United then take on Liverpool on Sunday afternoon at Anfield in what will inevitably be another tasty encounter.
