SAG-AFTRA President Fran Drescher back to lead last-ditch push to seal deal

After being inflamed by writers on social media for posting on the set of American Horror History as striking WGA writers picketed outside, Kim Kardashian does it again.
While all of Hollywood clung to worry about the potential SAG-AFTRA strike, Kardashian posted a photo with guild president Fran Drescher for a Dolce & Gabbana show, mugging for the cameras in Puglia, Italy. See below.
Kardashian posted the photo to his Instagram Stories feed, and while Kardashian makes her change living the life in a fishbowl, many in town think the optics here look terrible for Drescher, who many thought he would have sweated at the negotiating table in hopes that a deal would save many from potentially losing their homes if the business closed. Drescher, who chairs the guild's bargaining committee, returns from Italy to L.A. tomorrow, just in time for the final two days of negotiations for the guild's film and television contract which expires Wednesday at midnight PT.

She participated in negotiations every day, either in person or by videoconference. President Drescher manages a job of the physically demanding time across three time zones, overseeing negotiations and working onsite daily, while managing the needs of her parents in Florida.She is returning to the United States and will be on the ground in Los Angeles tomorrow and will continue to chair our negotiations. »
