Saraki standing tall at 60 despite political battles

There is no doubt that Bukola Saraki is an accomplished politician. As he turns 60 on Monday, December 19, 2022, many of his supporters have described him as a political gladiator who still holds his ground and is not tired of battle.

He first rose to political prominence when he became Governor of Kwara State in 2003. He ended up serving two terms and left in 2011

In 2015 he became President of the Senate, although some people believe it was under controversial circumstances.

Some members of the All Progressives Congress believed he had betrayed the party and colluded with members of the People's Democratic Party to become Speaker of the Senate. He then left the APC and returned to the PDP.

However, Saraki suffered a shock defeat in 2019 as he was able to secure enough votes to return to the Senate. But the doctor quickly moved on.

A few months ago, he contested the PDP presidential primary, but lost to a former vice president, Atiku Abubakar. However, he also seems to have put the defeat behind him, as he has been engaged in some campaign activities with Atiku.

On Atiku's 76th birthday, November 25, 2022, Saraki shared a photo of him and Atiku smiling at each other.

As Saraki is still actively involved in politics, it goes without saying that he still has a bright future.
