The attack came less than three weeks after gunmen ambushed the convoy of a Nigerian senator, killing around five people, including two police officers.

The senator's convoy was attacked in Enugwu-Ukwu, a community in Njikoka Local Government Area in Anambra State, southeastern Nigeria.

Mr. Soludo vowed that those responsible for the attack on the senator would be found as soon as possible.

“We are not going to rest on our oars, including those who attacked Senator Ifeanyi Ubah and the others. There will be absolutely no hiding places for them,” he said.
