Kekemeke warned against repeating what happened in 1983 and 1993 when some elements in the region ganged up on the realization of the presidential ambition of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and Chief Moshood Abiola respectively.

The national vice president of the party, who insisted that there was no division in the Oyo State APC branch, urged party loyalists not to not let the opportunity to produce the next president of the region slip away from them in 2023.

According to him, there is no division in the Oyo State APC chapter. We have only one gubernatorial candidate, Teslim Folarin, three senatorial constituency candidates, 14 House of Representatives candidates and 32 House of Assembly candidates.

He therefore warned party members against what he called anti-party, threatening that anyone caught in the act would be treated in accordance with the party constitution.

He said, "It is unconstitutional for a party member to associate with candidates from another party.

"It is high time we spoke to avoid a repeat of what happened in 1983 and 1993.

"It is our turn in Yorubaland to produce the next leadership of the country in 2023. Our candidate is none other than Tinubu.

"In the South West, Tinubu deserves more than 90% of our votes." Folarin, who spoke along the same lines, gave his support to Tinubu, saying he had everything he needed to lead the country.
