Spice Girls: Mel C says all members of his former band would love to play Glastonbury Festival next year

Mel C has confirmed that all of the Spice Girls would like to return to perform at the Glastonbury Festival next year.

The singer did his Worthy Farm-worthy debut on Saturday night, performing solo material and some of his old band's hits at the Avalon Stage.

When asked if they would accept an offer to play the now traditional Sunday afternoon legends slot, she said yes.

"All the Spice Girls would love to play Glasto, that's the truth," she told BBC Radio 6 Music's Matt Everitt.

"As I have told the audience [Saturday night], while doing some Spice Girls' Songs, "A little warm-up for next year?"

"They rehearsed , they know the lyrics, they're ready." she continued. "So if I can train the other girls with me... I say 'train' the other girls with you - all the Spice Girls would love to play Glasto, that's the truth.

"It's just about getting organized, now is the time."

She added: "And it's is pretty intimidating, some of the girls I haven't been on stage in years.
