Stéphane Rolland launches the Bridal collection

PARIS — Stéphane Rolland is ready for the altar.

The French fashion designer is launching his first bridal collection, Epure, which will debut at New York Bridal Fashion Week.

The demi-couture collection will include 10 silhouettes that recall the strong, sculptural forms he presents on the parades in Paris.

As the designer of Celine Dion's 2017 Billboard Music Awards dress, Rolland is not stranger to show-stopping white dresses. Her plunging V-neck dress with dramatically sculpted shoulders became instantly famous.

He was also behind some key looks for Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. In his most recent collections, the designer has explored the use of 3D and other contrasting materials for bold shapes.

The new bridal collection will recall these codes, with the same volume and the same architectural touches for which its collections are known, as well as incorporating the same materials in crepe, duchess satin, gazar, tulle and lace.

Dresses will range from $6,500 to $15,250 at affiliate stores, taking six weeks between fitting and delivery.< /p>

Rolland quickly expanded its business lines. The decision to launch bridal comes after the designer launched a ready-to-wear line in 2021 and an eponymous handbag collection in July 2020. At the time, it was her first expansion since the opening of his house in 2007.

Following its US launch, the collection will be showcased at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. Both shows will take place in April and the first dresses will be available in September.

During Haute Couture week in Paris in January, Rolland closed with a voluminous wedding dress in gold cloqué lamé, which has been embellished on the front, bottom and hood with gold arched carvings.
