Amy Dowden updated her followers on her cancer journey, but revealed she had to deal with a second diagnosis in recent weeks. The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star announced her breast cancer diagnosis in May after discovering a breast lump a month prior. Now she has revealed she will undergo chemotherapy after doctors discovered more tumors.

Dowden launched an Instagram Live video with breast cancer survivor and Paralympian Erin Kennedy on July 21 on behalf of breast cancer charity CoppaFeel!, explaining the conversations that followed her MRI and its mastectomy.

The 32-year-old said, "For me, my journey changed everything. Initially, I was going to have a lumpectomy, radiation therapy and hormone therapy." She continued, "They found another type of cancer, then they told me I needed chemo - for me, that was a big blow."

While another diagnosis — which she didn't go into detail about — "wasn't planned," Dowden said her oncologist said "with chemo, I have very good chance of recovery. She added, according to ITVX: "For me right now [it was] just my dancing. You can take my boobs away from me, but you can't take my dancing away from me."

The entertainer had planned to return to the dance competition later this year, but that has been put on hold while she undergoes treatment.
