Sunday with Charlene McKenna: "I'm going to have a vodka tonic and put on some jazz"

Early riser or lazy? I usually get up at 6am for filming so a sleep in is at 8am, although we have a new puppy - Major, a cross between a Cockalier and a Jack Russell - so we have to let him out , along with our other two dogs.

Once up? My husband, Adam [Rothenberg], and I are huge fans of Andrew Huberman, the American neuroscientist, who does these clever podcasts that are beyond me most of the time. His thing is to go out before 9 a.m. to have the sunlight in his eyes. So we'll have a cup of tea and sit outside.

Sunday breakfast? My husband doesn't eat breakfast, but I love a croissant at the weekend or scrambled eggs on toast.

Sunday exercise? All three dogs will require a walk. There's a beautiful old mill near us in County Monaghan, where Paul McCartney and Heather Mills were married.

Sunday dinner? We had an early dinner on Sunday, so a roast chicken, around 5pm. We both cook, but my husband says I chop everything too finely, whereas he prefers things more rustic, à la paysanne! But it tastes good, so I'll have to swallow my words.

Relaxing Sunday? Definitely a glass of red. I like a little cocktail before dinner - just one. Sounds pretentious, but I'm going to take a vodka tonic and put on some jazz because I think it's a nice kitchen atmosphere. My husband teases me, "Oh, you still listen to your Starbucks jazz sampler!"

Sunday work? Sunday nights is e-learning, so there's a lot of scripts to go through, but it's very good.

Sundays growing up? Long and quiet. I was the youngest of six children, with five older brothers, so I found myself alone. I was always ready for school on Monday, rather than never wanting the weekend to end.

Last thing before lights out? Lily. And put on my earplugs. I am the lightest sleeper in the world.
