Oversized laptop pokes fun at portability
Sometimes a project needs to grow, and [Evan and Katelyn] ditched portability to create the "world's greatest laptop".
Extending the "bigger is better" credence, this laptop features a 43-inch screen, a huge non-ergonomic keyboard, and a trackpad that could be bigger than your hand. Not to be outdone by other gaming laptops, it also has RGB lighting and a logo that really pops with neon resin.
The pair began construction with an extruded aluminum frame connected by hinges. Plywood forms the top cover and bottom of the device, and the interior was covered in a mix of vinyl and ABS to keep everything tidy. A nice detail is the windows cut into the area above the keyboard to keep an eye on the charge of the two batteries powering the laptop. Weighing in at over 100 pounds, we believe this won't be the next computer revolution.
