Tension in Delta as thugs disrupt APC event, take away former PDP youth leader

There has been tension in the community of Aladja in Udu Local Government Area in Delta State following the disruption of an event by the All Progressives Congress Party, PDP, organized by a former youth leader, Obaro Matthew Jagogo in Ward 10.

The thugs stormed the event, alleging that Jagogo owed them the sum of four hundred thousand naira.

They told the already seated crowd of visitors that they had come for no one but Jagogo and then bundled him into a waiting car and knocked down the awnings.

They also kicked out the DJ.

Comrade Jagogo had staged the event with the intent to dump the PDP for the All Progressives Congress for reasons he knew best before the incident happened.

The likes of House of Assembly candidate Collins Egbetamah, Keston Okoro and Williki were expected at the event when the thugs stormed the Ekregware Quarters area in the Aladja community.< /p>

When approached for comment, the chairman of APC Ward 10 in Aladja community, Mr. Abeyi Lucky, who was at the scene on a commercial motorbike in solidarity with Jagogo, said said: "It's just a scene we didn't expect".< /p>

At the time of this report, it was feared the incident could spark a crisis between the APC and the opposition in the community.
