Singer Melody Thornton has apologized after rowdy concertgoers interrupted a performance of the musical The Bodyguard.

They praised the work of venue security for "handling these difficult circumstances in a professional and calm manner" and thanked the Greater Manchester Police (GMP) "for their assistance".

The force confirmed officers were present after two people were removed by security personnel.
