The very fun saga of building a massive keyboard
Glarses is a YouTube channel I had never heard of until today. However, I saw this thumbnail and thought the massive keyboard looked really interesting and clicked. Although the channel seems to focus mostly on keyboards and keyboard reviews, this one is for sure a maker video.
The incumbent Glarses set out to build a giant working keyboard after seeing the one Razr was showing off at CES. Of course, he couldn't just replicate what they had done, he had to go further and better.
He had to have giant custom PCBs made, machined a custom keyboard shell, and he used giant off-the-shelf mechanical switches. Her end result looks so good and sounds fantastic.
The creators will identify with the point of this video when he realizes that none of his parts actually fit together. Who's read this ever ended up with the huge stack of releases because things didn't match up at the start? I have.
