A new Ticketmaster pricing system, which changes ticket prices based on demand, is being criticized by both fans and pundits of the industry.

< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00">Called dynamic pricing, it has been used in the UK for recent sales by Harry Styles, Coldplay and Blackpink.

The system is regularly used in the United States, where the resale market is much larger and vantage is more prevalent.

Ticketmaster says it's used to try to stop touts and give artists more money.

But fans say they're barred from concerts, with some tickets doubling in price.

How does it work?

On l On the Ticketmaster page for the Harry Styles Tour, a review explains: "These tickets vary in price depending on fan demand, whether milar to airfares and hotel accommodations.

"We're giving fans the ability to securely purchase official tickets to the events they love, right up to the date of the show."
