Tinubu hale, hearty: APC UK chapter

The British section of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party's presidential candidate, is vigorous and warm, contrary to speculation on social media.

Mr. Joseph Adebola, chairman of APC's UK Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), said in a statement Thursday in Abuja.

He called speculation that Tinubu was ill and had traveled abroad for medical treatment as false.

"Unfortunately for them, their evil thoughts against Tinubu will not come true because they are not God, the giver of life.

"For the record, Tinubu had had strategic meetings with critical APC stakeholders here in the UK and remained himself vibrant and confident.

"During one of the recent engagements in London, APC presidential candidate Tinubu held a strategy meeting with some members of his campaign planning team.

"The team included Alhaji Ibrahim Masari, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, Deputy Director of the CCP Planning Committee, Chief Pius Akinyelure and a host of progressive political gurus here in the UK," Adebola said.< /p>

He said the meeting was convened primarily to decide on some lingering issues ahead of the APC presidential campaign.

He added that the meeting ended with a photo shoot on the site which was currently trending on social media.

"One of the viral photos on social media showed Asiwaju and his team walking into the house from the garden.

"The session is a further confirmation of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu's active status and daily commitments.

"We, however, will not be distracted by the negative propaganda against Asiwaju and the APC as we are determined to press forward, believing God and the Nigerian electorate for the enthronement of the Presidency of Tinubu in 2023,” Adebola said.

He advised opponents to take care of more lucrative businesses in their interests.

He assured that the APC Presidential Campaign Council in the UK was working to galvanize Nigerians in the Diaspora to convince their friends and family members back home to support the APC and its candidate for the presidency in the 2023 elections.
