Tinubu solely responsible for my ministerial appointment – Dave Umahi
Ebonyi South Senator Dave Umahi said President Bola Tinubu alone was responsible for his appointment as minister of his state.
Umahi promised to work diligently to vindicate the trust placed in him, adding that he had no idea about the ministry of superintendent, NAN reports.
He spoke in Abakaliki while addressing reporters after being received by Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State.
The former governor said he owed President Tinubu deep gratitude for “keeping his promise during the difficult time.”
According to Umahi: "My governor (Nwifuru) should be happy because he wished it.
"I will work with the President to ensure that all the promises he has made are kept.
"I cannot determine the particular ministry to lead but I will justify the Ebonyi character of ingenuity and exceptionality."
