Tinubu will guarantee a better Nigeria, says YWC

The Yoruba World Congress has endorsed All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the 2023 elections, saying his precedents, qualities, ideals and dreams for Nigeria's improvement puts it far ahead of other contenders for the exalted county seat.

YWC representative in Ekiti State, Adewole Oluwasegun, who said the body decided given what Tinubu stood for and his manifesto, said the candidate of the APC would bring about a better and more developed Nigeria to the delight of Nigerian citizens, adding that the Yoruba tribe would benefit immensely.

Oluwasegun, who spoke at Ado Ekiti on Saturday during the official endorsement of Tinubu by the YWC in Ekiti State and the official presentation by the YWC of the Memorandum of Association to the APC, said, "Look at what Tinubu did in Lagos when he was governor - the track record, the achievements and the trajectory. The way he governed Lagos showed that Nigeria will not be his difficult to manage."

The YWC leader called on the country's Yoruba and the diasporas to unite in support of Tinubu, under whose chairmanship he said the goal of developing the South West geopolitical area would be achieved, saying, "We call on the Yoruba to join this cause because now we have a Yoruba man and only the Yoruba can make the Yoruba grow."

Oluwasegun said, "What we do is political because we believe in what Asiwaju presents to the public, what he represents and what he showed in his manifesto. We believe that with Asiwaju Tinubu, Nigeria's improvement is guaranteed."

APC Ekiti State Chairman Paul Omotoso, who welcomed the endorsement of the party's presidential candidate by YWC, described it as a boost for the morale of the party that will be victorious in the 2023 elections.

Omotoso, represented by Vice President, Sola Elesin, who said the state party had prepared ahead of the 2023 elections, said he had put in place a committee chaired by Minister of Commerce, Niyi Adebayo, and co-chaired by Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his predecessor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, to handle election activities.

Omotoso said, "We are preparing hard in the sense that Ekiti is unique, whatever we do, we will want to triumph and make the most of it."

In Nigeria today, when you talk about APC, Ekiti State is on the front line, and we will work hard to achieve 100% success for Tinubu."
