TONY HETHERINGTON: Wizz Air settles customer case on canceled flight – but hundreds remain up in the air

Wizz Air settles customer case over canceled flight - but hundreds of passengers left hanging: TONY HETHERINGTON investigates

Ms S.M. writes: Last August 31st I boarded the 4.30pm Wizz Air flight from Larnaca Cyprus to Gatwick. Two and a half hours later we were told the flight was cancelled.

I got off the plane, collected my luggage, and then found that no one from Wizz Air was available. In fact, no Wizz Air flights were available for eight days. I had to book with BA.

Wizz Air said they would refund my hotel costs and BA ticket, totaling £1411, but later they told me said it was 'against their policy' and they offered €108 (about £95).

Result: Ms S.M. was awarded £1,266 to settle her claim against Wizz Air when they left her stranded in Larnaca last year

And when you got back at home on your own, Wizz L'air has left you with a lot of expense. He didn't even refund the cost of your ticket for the canceled flight.

You told me, "I don't have that kind of money available to give up, but it's impossible to claim Wizz Air."< /p>

You contacted me after I reported that Wizz Air was not only compensating passengers it had abandoned, but that it don't...
