Over the past two decades, the show has been one of the company's largest sources of revenue, exported around the world. But it has also sparked controversy on several occasions, and some of its presenters have been involved in serious accidents.
Balancing the commercial value of Top Gear with the Controversies and the dangers it brings have always been tricky, and the show has now been axed after presenter Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff was seriously injured last year.
