Tottenham face danger as Juventus plot double-signing plan to lure Antonio Conte

Juventus have reportedly devised a strategy to lure Antonio Conte to the club amid their dismal campaign under Massimiliano Allegri. The Bianconeri look set to act in the transfer window to entice Conte to drop his Tottenham Hotspur project and return to Turin.

Juventus were knocked out of the Champions League group stage for the first time since 2013 after a 4-3 loss to Benfica last week, level with Maccabi Haifa on just three points after five games. And despite winning their last three Serie A games, Juve have collapsed to sixth and lead Napoli by 10 points.

According to , they are ready to return to Conte but understand they need to act to convince him to leave his second spell in the Premier League. The report claims Juventus are lining up the pursuit of Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as 'welcome' gifts.

Bastoni played a crucial role in Inter's 2021 Serie A victory under Conte, while Milinkovic-Savic remains one of Europe's most talented at his craft. But both are closing in on their contracts expiring in 2024, and Conte has entered the final 12 months of his deal with Tottenham.

However, the 53-year-old is publicly focused solely on the task at hand at Spurs. After being asked about a potential return to Juventus at a recent press conference, Conte closed the question as disrespectful and insisted he was happy in north London.

"It's unbelievable. In this period, I think it's a lack of respect towards the coach who works at Juventus and towards me who works at Tottenham," replied Conte. "I have a great relationship with the owner and [Fabio] Paratici. I don't see any problems at the moment in the future. We both signed the contract. I don't want to hear anyone talk about this [speculation ] ."

Juventus vice-president Pavel Nedved shares the same public stance, reiterating his faith in Allegri to restore the club's fortunes. He told DAZN: "Our position is always the same, what we have always said: the club, the players and everyone have full confidence in coach Allegri.

"It's normal when you don't get the wins, Juve expect names to come out in the media, there will probably be more, but we remain firm on our position. We will give him opportunity to do your job and do it well."
