Toyota unveils plan to convert gas-powered cars to electric vehicles

"I don't want to leave any car enthusiast behind me," Toyota CEO Akio Toyoda said during a speech at the Tokyo Auto Salon in Chiba, Japan on Friday. To that end, the Japanese automaker is proposing a plan to replace existing car engines with more environmentally friendly alternatives — think fuel cells and electric motors.
