Man United manager Erik ten Hag has reportedly identified Goretzka as a candidate to strengthen his midfield this summer ahead of next season.
The Red Devils are yet to make a decision on the Germany international, although it has been reported that Bayern Munich believe he is 'indispensable' in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Arsenal have announced in a statement via their website that defender Anna Patten has left the club's women's team on a permanent transfer.
Patten has joined Barclays FA Women's Super League club Aston Villa.
"Everyone at the club would like to thank Anna for her efforts during her time at Arsenal.
"We wish him well in this next chapter and look forward to welcoming him to Meadow Park and the Emirates Stadium soon," read part of Arsenal's statement.
