2023: I will order CBN to stop multiple exchange rates if elected - Atiku
Ahead of the upcoming presidential election, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar has said he will ask the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, to end the multiple currency exchange rate regime.

Access to foreign currency has been a major challenge for manufacturers, industrialists and business owners in Nigeria.
When reacting to a question on how he would take up the forex challenge if elected president, Atiku, who was the former vice president of Nigeria, said, "First of all, I will ask the central bank of nigeria to stop the multiple exchange rate to close the gap and then of course how to encourage foreign investors to bring in foreign currency i think is very important as far as the challenge goes basically if you could do that we would make a lot of foreign currency available you may not have enough for everyone but it will happen most of our industries and factories work."
