Transfer: Xavi provides update on Aubameyang, De Jong moves to Chelsea
Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has given an update on the future of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Frenkie de Jong.
Aubameyang and De Jong are strongly linked with a move to Chelsea this summer.
However, Xavi said he is counting on Aubameyang for the new season, ahead of his La Liga opener.
"I am counting on Pierre Aubameyang. I am really delighted with him, he can help us.
"Those I'm not counting on already know that, they know they won't be playing. Between now and August 31, different things can happen.
"I really like Aubameyang," Xavi said.
On De Jong, he added: "I consider Frenkie important to me, he's in the team and that's it. Until August 31, we'll see because the market is still open.
"We don't know what will happen with many players until the end of the window."
