Truck kills three, injures two on Lagos-Abeokuta highway

Umar explained that the accident, which happened around 7:35 p.m., involved six people, two vehicles and two motorcycles.

He said a truck carrying bags of cement was coming on the Abeokuta-Lagos highway when it lost control due to brake failure and hit two vehicles and two bajaj motorcycles.

According to him, those who died are either shopkeepers or those waiting for the buses.

"The accident resulted in the death of three people, two others suffered injuries of varying degrees and one person was not injured.

"The corpses of the dead have been placed in the morgue of Ifo General Hospital, while the injured are receiving treatment at Ota General Hospital," he said. declared.

The sector commander blamed the accident on speeding.

Umar advised motorists to always refrain from speeding and ensure their vehicles are in good condition before putting them on the roads to avoid avoidable accidents.
