Video: Inside P&O Cruises' new Iona ship, with Marco Pierre White on board to teach cooking classes
My amazing journey on P&O Cruises' new ship: Traveler films her journey on the mouth-watering £733million Iona and has a cooking lesson on stage with guest chef Marco Pierre WhiteJo Kessel rides aboard Iona for a seven-day cruise through the Norwegian fjords Her video of the trip shows the ship's many hot tubs and boutique cinema At night, one of the pools turns into a stage for an acrobatic show
Travel writer Jo Kessel has filmed his trip on P&O Cruises new ship, Iona, which is powered by liquefied natural liquid gas and is the ocean liner's greenest ship to date. The images show what a foodie's paradise Iona is, with P&O Cruises 'Food Hero' Marco Pierre White hosting cooking demonstrations on some sailings. Additionally, the images contain a glimpse of Iona's boutique cinema and swimming pools, including one that transforms into a stage for an acrobatic show.
Iona is the latest addition to the fleet of British cruise liner P&O Cruises. It cost £733 million ($950 million) to build and can carry 5,200 passengers.
It's glamorous inside and out, which is what I hoped for when I boarded Southampton for a seven-day cruise to the Norwegian fjords.
