Despite speculation linking Nigerian international Emmanuel Dennis with Vicarage Road, Watford have yet to receive any offers for the striker, reports The PUNCH.

Following their relegation to the league, Watford are ready to release some of their key players before the end of the transfer window to allow them to balance their books and reduce the wage bill by around 30%. < /p>

Captain Moussa Sissoko, Ben Foster, Oghenekaro Etebo, Joshua King, Nicolas Nkoulou, Cucho Hernandez, Juraj Kucka, Rob Elliot, Andre Gray and Philip Zinckernagel are all gone, and other players are expected to leave in the coming weeks.

Among the players expected to leave the club is Dennis, who enjoyed an impressive 2021/22 campaign with the Hornets, scoring 10 goals and registering six assists.

The Nigerian forward has been linked with moves to Everton, Brentford, West Ham and even La Liga side Villarreal.

However, according to The Athletic, no offers have been submitted for the striker despite numerous headlines since the end of the last campaign.

"But do those already in the building have the quality to mount a promotion challenge is the question Watford wrestles with behind the scenes.

"Although nothing is read in the 3-1 pre-season loss to Cambridge United, they are waiting on the phone for potential suitors Dennis and Sarr to start the conversation. Although it is Strongly linked with Everton, there has been no official offer for Dennis yet."
