The leadership of Kaduna State University says the whole world was surprised by the unguided, misleading and disparaging statement of ASUU National President, Professor Victor Emmanuel Osodeke.
In a statement released by the university's Public Relations Officer (PRO), Adamu Nuhu Bargo, on behalf of management, on Friday rebuked the president when he was quoted in an interview with national television in which he referred to some public universities. in Nigeria, including Kaduna State University as charlatans.
The statement noted: "It is evident that by such a statement, the ASUU, represented by the shameless vituperations of its President-elect, is not really striving for a better educational system in Nigeria, but for personal and irresponsible aggrandizement. .
"It is debatable whether the professor of soil science really understands what the word quack stands for. Quack means a person who dishonestly claims to have knowledge and skill in a field with little or no substantiation, as shown better the professionals.

"Looking back, KASU is a next generation university and the second most sought after as well as fastest growing public university in Nigeria, which was established 18 years ago with eminent scholars like Prof. Idris A. Abdulkadir, OFR and Professor Abubakar A. Rasheed, MFR as pioneer members of the Council.
The statement further advanced, "These scholar-administrators ensured that appointments of qualified lecturers were never compromised. Foundation and ethical determination to uphold the same remained the guiding principle of commitment academic and non-academic staff.
"From the above, the general public may wish to note the following: KASU is recognized by NUC as a standard university, KASU has some of the best minds that compete favorably with their counterparts around the world.
Today's release states that "the 4th best polymer chemist in the world is at KASU.
Furthermore, the statement observed that "KASU faculty have attracted grants both locally and internationally and are highly rated, just as KASU graduates are ranked among the best in the world and enjoy scholarships from different parts of the country and the world.
