The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, claims to have completed around 2,506 projects for people in the region between 2015 and 2022.

Recall that the Minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Mr. Umana Okon Umana, announced four weeks ago during a participatory audience broadcast on Radio Nigeria that the ministry was compiling a collection of projects completed by the current administration.

According to him, the details of the projects would be released for public scrutiny in a bid to show that the ministry is "strong in the area of ​​transparency and accountability".

Announcing the release of the compendium, in a statement on Friday, NDDC Director of General Affairs Dr. Ibitoye Abosede said details of the 2,506 projects have been posted on his official website.

"The entrenchment of the principles of accountability and transparency in our activities is part of the momentum of the new leadership overseen by the Honorable Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Obong Umana Okon Umana.

"We urge members of the public to always visit our website, which is easily accessible to keep up to date with the commission's projects in the Niger Delta region," the statement added.
