What have they done to our Baba Obasanjo?, By Femi Fani-Kayode

Yet a loyal and loving son owes his father at least one thing and only one thing: the bitter truth… And that bitter truth is that his approval of Peter Obi is the biggest mistake he has made since . he entered politics in 1999 and it is nothing but an exercise in futility…Obi will not only lose miserably and may well be driven to fourth place, but he may also lose his deposit and much more.< /p>
Something clearly went wrong.
Is it a spell, is it misinformation or is it an illusion?
How our revered and beloved Baba Olusegun Obasanjo can speak in glowing terms of Peter and Datti amazes me.
The former allegedly invested public funds in his family business and ended up having secret bank accounts, as reported in the Padora Papers expose.
The latter once openly proclaimed in the Senate, before being stripped of his mandate by the courts and rudely asked to leave, that homosexual elements must be killed.
Is this the pair that Obasanjo wants to impose on Nigerians?
No matter what is said about Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu or Waziri Atiku Abubakar, neither of them has ever publicly expressed a desire to kill their fellow Nigerians solely because of their sexual preferences.
Neither is accused of persecuting Muslims and non-Catholic Christians in their states nor of denying Pentecostal churches the right to buy land and build churches when they exercised public functions.
As the governor of his state, Asiwaju protected and prevented the demolition of churches, even when they were built on contested lands, and he has done so for 20 years.
After leaving office in Lagos State, many churches were slated for demolition, but he used his good offices with his many successor governors to stop this in the name of public interest and state security.
I can cite many examples of this and I know the churches he saved.
He did the same for many mosques.
He also granted more land to churches than any other governor in Nigerian history when he was in power in Lagos State, which belies the idea that he wants to Islamize our nation and he supported NASFAT, the strong party and peaceful Islamic revival movement in the South West.
For his part, as Governor of Adamawa State, Waziri ensured that a Christian succeeded him, even though some Muslims in his state objected.
Peter Obi refuses to condemn the brutal murders and killers in the South East known as the Unknown Gunmen who kidnap and murder anyone and everyone, including our security personnel. He refuses to condemn these barbaric creatures and cruel beasts because he says he doesn't know who they are.
