< p class="ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph eq5iqo00">English Heritage, which runs the abbey, said a Dracula-themed theater act will be played in the ruins each evening.
The organization said the screening also acknowledges that the ruins of the abbey are home to a colony of bats, a protected species.
In the Dracula novel, Whitby Abbey was where Count Dracula lands and it is referenced in the protagonist's journal from the novel Mina Harker.
A large dog climbs the 199 steps that lead to the abbey after the navi re carrying the Count's coffin.
