Why I didn't pay tribute to Ifeanyi on the "Timeless" album - Davido
Famous Nigerian Afrobeats musician, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, has explained why he chose not to pay tribute to his late son Ifeanyi Adeleke in his new album, 'Timeless'.
Davido fans thought the album would focus on the singer's late son. However, Davido chose to be more entertaining with the album.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday ahead of the upcoming "Timeless" concert scheduled for April 23 in Lagos, Davido explained that his goal is to release a classic album with few or no soulful songs to prevent the followers to be emotional over the loss of his son.
He said, "People who have been following songs for years can attest to that. I've always been a happy person no matter what I'm going through.
"If sad songs are to come, it will be an entirely different project in itself because I never intended to combine them."
