Why I withdrew from the PDP gubernatorial primary - Peter Obi's running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed
Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed has revealed why he withdrew from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial race in Kaduna State.
On Friday, Baba-Ahmed was chosen as the running mate of Labor Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi.
A few hours later, in an interview on Channels Television's Politic Today, he spoke
"I withdrew from the PDP gubernatorial race in Kaduna, because God did not create me as someone who will buy votes from delegates.
"And I said categorically that I was not looking for a job. I was there to fix a very bad situation.
"When it became apparent that it was necessary to buy votes, I said I just couldn't do it. Respectfully, I withdrew from the race.
"And I told them that I would remain faithful and loyal to the party. But then it became clear that they were afraid of me and that I had no future in the party."
