In his effort to sell his two-bedroom penthouse maisonette on a humble street of indescribably semi-finished of the 1930s, he wrote a 5,000-word lyrical essay on the property listing site Rightmove, extolling its beauty and rarity. To his surprise, the trial went viral, generating huge interest on social media.

Most ads are concise, informing future owners that an apartment or house is 'well-presented', 'spacious', 'light and airy', 'close to amenities' and so on.

But Matt didn't think a conventional approach would do justice to his domestic masterpiece.
