Earlier we heard about the new Xiaomi 12S series of smartphones and now we find out more details about the top model, the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

The video below from Mrwhostheboss gives us a look at the new Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone and its range of features.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra is equipped with Sony's IMX989 1″ sensor, implementing a Quad-Bayer pixel array with individual pixel sizes reaching 1.6μm. After pixel clustering, this reaches 3.2μm, reducing noise, extending dynamic range, increasing light capture, and achieving better overall imaging in low light conditions. This sets a new precedent in smartphone cameras, approaching traditional cameras in terms of hardware specifications.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra is the first Android device to support Dolby Vision HDR video recording and playback. Dolby Vision enhances your videos with vivid colors, sharper contrast ratio and richer details, giving you vibrant and refined picture quality. Xiaomi 12S Ultra uses HyperOIS for ultra-stable performance, providing continuous motion compensation during video recording. HyperOIS uses the gap between two frames to bring the OIS engine back to its original position, giving each frame a full effective range of stabilization.

The Xiaomi 12S and Xiaomi 12S Pro are equipped with Sony's IMX707 as the main sensor, which incorporates both large sensor size and large pixels, at 1/1.28 inch and 2.44μm after grouping of pixels. With support for Xiaomi AI Image Solution and Xiaomi ProFocus, these sensors enable fast start-up, capture and continuous capture. These cameras support an industry-leading 30 fps ultra-fast burst mode and exceptional low-light photography capabilities. Moreover, they also implement the snapshot of all the scenes in their cameras, which makes it easier to capture the decisive moment.
