The success of YAMA 2022 is a testament to our impact on young people - Ijeoma Okoye

Young And More Africa (YAMA) Project Director and Organizer Ijeoma Dicta Okoye said the success of the YAMA 2022 convention, recently held in Lagos, was a testament that they are impacting lives young Nigerians and Africans.

The 2022 edition of the annual event was the third edition of the convention, and its theme was "Building Capacity for the Next Level". The event brought together delegates from various states within and outside Nigeria.

According to the organizers, the event aims to equip young leaders and experts with the tools and strategies necessary to dominate and evolve in an ever-changing global economy.

The event saw notable speakers like John Obidi, Mike Oladipo, Babatunde Akin-Moses, Winner Ezekiel, Fii Stephen Michael, Esther Airemionkhale, Chinaza Favour, Ijeoma Dicta Okoye, among others.

“Having delegates from the event share their experiences was a pleasure,” Okoye said. "I'm still getting testimonials about the impact of the session."

While appreciating the speakers and panelists who graced the event, Okoye said getting to know, learning from and working with them has sharpened his thoughts.

"Thank you all for honoring my invitation to speak at the 2022 Young and More Africa Convention," she added. "Let's do more."

In another development, for his work on digital literacy, entrepreneurship and youth empowerment, Okoye recently received the Nation Building Service award from the Mogi Global leadership school.

“It was an honor to receive this award, making it the second award I will receive from the organization,” she said. "I want to celebrate the other recipients of various awards who also served as speakers and panelists at the 2022 YAMA Convention."
