Zamfara: Police rescue 15 kidnapped victims
The Zamfara State Police Command revealed that its officers rescued 15 kidnapping victims who were abducted by kidnappers along the Gusau-Tsafe road in the state.
This was revealed to reporters on Thursday by command spokesman SP Shehu Mohammed during a press briefing, saying the kidnapping victims were abducted on Monday.
"The abductors abandoned the victims given the tension of the search and rescue officers of the command who, as the team faced the bandits on fire for an operation in their dens where the victims were rescued" , he said.
DAILY POST reports that the rescued victims included seven women, six men and two children.
According to the command spokesman, the victims have been debriefed by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kolo Yusuf, medically examined by the police medical team and will be handed over to their families.
