Yuga Labs has announced the creation of a new Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) Community Council to help the project "grow and thrive".

The team revealed seven board members in an October 5 blog post, noting that they are all OGs who have been around since BAYC's inception.

Yuga Labs said it has assembled a new Community Board made up of "monkeys with a proven track record of proactively and positively contributing to the club from the start".

Members include beijingdou, SeraStargirl, TheMiamiApe, OxEthanDG, OxWave, negithenagi, peterjfang.

"This board was formed with the intention of representing the club as a whole and paving the way for new perspectives," Yuga Labs wrote.

Yuga Labs said it will engage with the community and gather feedback for the company, working with Yuga on community initiatives such as business projects, meetups, and charities.

“Every monkey in our community has had a direct impact on our decisions from day one. constantly feedback and advice from the community,” he writes.

Yuga Labs also announced that it may soon launch community boards for its other NFT projects, including CryptoPunks, Meebits, and Otherside.
