Rishi Sunak has been called a 'Nimby' by a top Tory after joining Liz Truss in ruling out solar panels on farmland if he wins the race for No.10.
The pageant underdog - who has spoken about how his young daughters are urging him to act on the climate emergency - but have pledged to put preserving farmland first.
"Under my watch, we won't lose swaths of our best farmland to solar farms. Instead, we should ensure that solar panels are installed on commercial buildings, sheds and properties,” Sunak said.
